Terms of Service

Last updated

Draft. These terms describe MailHook's intended commercial terms. Review with qualified counsel before relying on them.

By creating a MailHook account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part, do not use MailHook.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use MailHook to:

  • Send or receive content that infringes third-party rights, is unlawful, or violates a recipient's privacy.
  • Transmit malware, phishing, or fraudulent messages.
  • Bypass rate limits, quotas, or plan restrictions, including by registering multiple accounts.
  • Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.

3. Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for MailHook. Lemon Squeezy calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax, VAT, and GST on our behalf, and is the counterparty that appears on your invoice and card statement.

Your plan's quotas are enforced programmatically by the MailHook worker:

| Plan | Inboxes | Routings/inbox | Monthly executions | Log retention | |--------|---------|----------------|--------------------|---------------| | Free | 1 | 1 | 500 | 3 days | | Pro | 5 | 10 | 2,500 | 10 days | | Scale | 10 | 50 | 10,000 | 90 days |

Trials convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Self-service cancellation and invoice downloads are available through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the email content routed through your MailHook inboxes. You grant MailHook a limited license to process that content only as needed to operate the service, deliver messages to destinations you configure, and improve reliability.

5. Service availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, and change features. We will communicate planned downtime when practical.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MailHook's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to MailHook in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, we will delete your account data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention obligations.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the dashboard or email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MailHook is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
